Leased Lines
Networking2000 is here to help you cut through the jargon and identify the best system for your requirements, whether you’d benefit from a simple ADSL connection or a multi sites private MPLS.
Here, we explain the different types of leased lines available to our clients, and some of the advantages and disadvantages of each.
ADSL Often the most simple and affordable option for smaller businesses, ADSL services offer speeds of up to 20MB. Larger clients can also use ADSL to service their home workers, or to handle dedicated VoIP traffic.
SDSL This is a different type of ADSL connection which transfers data over traditional copper lines but still provides the clients with same maximum upload and download speeds.
EFM EFM – or Ethernet First Mile technology, as it is otherwise known – enables clients to enjoy substantial upload and download capabilities that are delivered in a surprisingly cost-efficient way. If exchanges are EFM enabled, they can be a more viable alternative to the more expensive leased line options.
Wimax These services are provided via rooftop antenna as opposed to underground cables. The benefits of Wimax include fast installation – in fact, they can often be set up within just 5 working days – and reasonable speeds of 2MB+.
Leased Line There are plenty of reasons to consider a leased line, particularly if your business is keen to move its operations in to the Cloud, or wants to be able to transfer larger files.
MPLS (Multi-Protocol Labelled Switching) Let us create a secure, private network that involves a number of different sites. MPLS networks allow the client total control over their data traffic.
